Early Childhood Music Research, Practice and Policy: A COVID-19 Collaboration

Authors

Abstract

Members of NAfME's Early Childhood Music Special Research Interest Group, Early Childhood Music & Movement Association and the editorial board of the International Journal of Music in Early Childhood collaborated on providing pedagogical and advocacy publications in response to COVID-19. The documents consist of an addendum to the 2018 NAfME Early Childhood Music Position Statement, a 10-page overview of guidelines and suggestions for early childhood music during the time of COVID-19, and a spreadsheet that includes suggestions specific to various contexts. Additionally, the collaboration ignited numerous on-going research projects. We invite anyone interested in joining our collaborative effort.
